2005: Micky delivered a script-in-hand performance of the first draft to an invited audience.
2006: 'Innit Productions' was established to help develop the musical with young people in Salford.
2007: 'Innit: The Musical' premiered in the Lowry's 140 seat studio theatre for a two week sell-out run.
2009: 'Innit: Urban Musical' returned for a production run in the Lowry's 445 seat Quays Theatre, to critical acclaim.
As with all compelling theatrical plots, Innit's journey has had its fair share of twists and turns...
2009 - 2013: Just after Micky had secured the funds to take 'Innit' on tour, he was involved in a devastating car accident, which left him semi-paralysed, unable to function for four years.
2013 - 2018: Micky's recovery included psychiatric intervention, which allowed him to explore and address the issues which led him to be excluded from school and end up in prison in the first place. During this time, Micky acquired his education - a Masters degree in screenwriting.
2018: Micky returned to working in schools, as a pastoral consultant, where he realised that school exclusions were on an upward trajectory and that he needed to bring 'Innit Musical' back to life...
2019: Micky founded I4YPC - Innit for Young People Charity
- providing curricular and extra-curricular activities, delivered in the interest of social welfare and designed to improve their conditions of life

- advancing education, particularly in the creative industries and by encouraging them to engage with English language and literature
- relieving unemployment, by encouraging young people to achieve their aspirations through delivering mentoring and skills workshop-based activities
- providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for people living in the area of benefit who have need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances, with a view to improving the conditions of life of such persons.
The organisation has a vision to get to the heart of and tackle the onset of youth violence and criminal exploitation, head-on, by bringing our nationally recognised theatre production, ‘Innit’, back into the public realm.
We're also developing and delivering an associated workshop and curriculum experience, that has been co-designed and created with young people, to reach as many young people aged 12 – 16, in England as possible.
