Aim

Our aim is to provide information and advice to help people feel more in control of their finances and make later life more manageable.

Please help us to help older people through the cost-of-living-crisis.

Age UK Portsmouth has been caring for vulnerable and isolated older people for over 80 years. Our mission is ‘to help adults in Portsmouth and South-East Hampshire’ enjoy a better quality of life, with a specific focus on all aspects of getting older.  We are truly independent whilst working in partnership with Age UK which is a separate, registered charity in its own right.

We offer a lifeline to service users through our community teams, at our Bradbury Centre in Portsmouth, via home visits and over the telephone.

Money raised will enable out dedicated team of staff and volunteers to provide free, independent and confidential information and advice to people in our communities. We aim to provide people with the facts so they can make their own choice and decisions knowing the information they have is reliable. To help people feel more in control of their finances, we'll offer advice on:

  • Government cost of living payments1669629658_close-encounters2.jpg
  • Energy Saving tips
  • Saving on water bills
  • Boosting income via entitlements including pension credit, attendance allowance and the warm home discount
  • How to manage money

We provide advice and guidance to hundreds of people every year and help claim over £1m in financial entitlements every year.

We rely on your support to help older people. Your donation, however large or small, will make a genuine difference to the lives of older people who need our help and support.
