We are in our 21st year as a multi-cultural radio station, we have passed the dreaded 'teenanger years' and have had our Ofcom full-time license is approaching its 7th year now. But our age is showing.....
We have more volunteer placements than we can manage and our equipment has grown tired and old. We wish to install new software and hardware to run the station more fluidly and offering more inclusivity and access (as our current systems are not easy to learn). In addition, our transmitter is very tired and we need to upgrade the old beast in order to get a clearer frequency sound. Our building has also seen better days, (so many of you media stars have come and gone) so needs a little paint and floor covering (we're told our toilets are also not cool!) Basically, in order to continue to support the local talent and continue to get individuals up the media ladder nationally, and continue to support the BAME communities of Northants, we need to become more fit for purpose. This will enable us to profile at a new shiny level and create more opportunities for those who want it. We give so much of our time and love to this station, if we worked out our added value, we would be well in the millions....however, our passion is to put the unity back into community and this is where you can help. Thanks :)
