Help them get started

Your support makes a difference

Aim: For kids overwhelmed and left out—let’s create a calm, caring holiday space where they can just be themselves. Your help means everything!!

We’re building a holiday club for neurodivergent children who are constantly excluded, misunderstood, or simply not safe in mainstream settings. Not because they’re “difficult” — but because those settings were never built with them in mind.

We’re not tweaking a system that doesn’t work. We’re creating something entirely different. Something built by and for neurodivergent people, where children are honoured, not managed, and families can finally breathe.

My two children are autistic and ADHD. Mainstream holiday clubs were too noisy, too chaotic, too demanding, too rigid. They said they were inclusive, but they weren’t. My kids were either overwhelmed… or excluded.

And I’m not the only one.

When I spoke to other parents in our community, nearly 30% told me they’d had to give up work because there was no safe holiday provision for their neurodivergent children. My personal experience is giving up a nearly 20 year career due to lack of neuro inclusive holiday care

So I started Neurokind Space CIC — a holiday club built specifically for children who don’t fit into typical settings. A place that’s calm, sensory-aware, joyful, and built around each child’s interests. Not a mainstream club with a few adjustments — something entirely different.

Neurokind Space has been formed by Neurodivergent Minds for Neurodivergent Joy.

We will focus on co-regulation, sensory fun, special interest stations to promote Neurodivergent joy and much more!

We want children to feel safe enough to stim, unmask and be themselves.

There’ll be adults who truly get it — because most of them are neurodivergent themselves. This won’t be about managing behaviour. It’ll be about connection, comfort, and letting kids just be.

And for the parents — especially the ones holding it all together alone — this will be a place that makes it possible to work, to breathe, to rest

Funding
Your support will help us create a space that feels like safety — a space where neurodivergent children don’t have to mask, shrink themselves, or push through overwhelm just to belong.

Specifically for;

* sensory toys and safe dens

* helping towards the cost of SEN experienced visitors such as animal handlers or mindfulness coaches

* equipment for special interest stations where each child’s individual special interests will be catered for and embraced (eg lego, trains, dinosaurs)

* neuroinclusive activities such as making your own weighted plushie, slime station or making your own mini sensory garden (with different scents and textures)

This isn’t just a project — it’s a lifeline for children and families too often forgotten. With your support, we can build a place where every neurodivergent child feels safe, seen, and truly at home. Please stand with us and make this vision real.

We truly cannot do this without your support, if you cannot donate please help us greatly by sharing our donation page
