Aim
Help UnderWired provide family fun to disabled & disadvantaged children & parents/carers with a new inclusive, sensory summer musical 2024!
Who are we?
UnderWired passionately believe that all children should have access to live theatre and our mission is to break down barriers that prevent any children missing out, whether for financial of physical reasons.
- Our shows put children with disabilities, as well as those without, at the very heart of what we do. Offering an inclusive experience for all children and providing much needed respite for parents and carers.
- We keep our ticket prices low and offer a huge number of free family tickets.
- 2023 we wrote and produced Rainbow Rae and the Colour Stone Rescue!
- 2022 we wrote and produced The Right Royal Rumpus!
- 2018 & 2019 we wrote and produced The Lost Toys' Big Christmas Adventure!

Impact
The school summer holidays are a long time for us to keep our children entertained and it is even more difficult if you have a child with additional needs. There are so many things that our special children cannot access.
As a mother of three (my eldest with severe disabilities, complex needs and challenging behaviours), I know how difficult it is to find things we can all do together as a family. This is the driving force behind the work our charity does. Every parent / carer can come along to our shows knowing that they are in a safe space and they are welcome - we understand!
We know that there is currently a cost of living crisis and taking a family out for the day can be incredibly expensive. Our low cost / no cost tickets aim to make a trip to the theatre viable.

Why are we crowdfunding?
We are committed to helping all our children access live theatre. We spend ten months of our year fundraising to enable us to produce our summer musical and to keep our ticket prices low / free. If you can help us to continue this work - we would be so grateful for any donation you can spare. We realise it's a tricky time for everyone but any contribution can make a huge difference to us.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We will spend the money raised giving away free family tickets to our brand-new, fully inclusive summer family musical 2024. You can help disabled and disadvantaged children and their families to enjoy a live theatrical experience together.
