Ince Blundell Village Hall is situated in the small isolated rural community of InceBlundell, Sefton, Merseyside. The Village Hall has charitable status and is at the heart of our community, vital to its cohesion. Constructed in 1957 by the people of the village, the structure is now tired and in urgent need of refurbishment. Energy and maintenance costs are presenting a challenge to it’s very existence. Our aim is to preserve our Village Hall, to modernise it, and create a warmer, greener and more sustainable community asset for future generations to enjoy. In order to do this we need to raise a total of £130,000.
We have made a start replacing a rotten floor in the foyer and toilets. In September 2023, we are due to commence fitting a suspended ceiling with LED lighting, to lower the main Hall ceiling.
Our next goal is to replace windows and doors with modern thermally efficient double glazed units, this will cost £21,960 followed by installing solar panels to our vast roof at a cost of £24,000. We will continue to work tirelessly to raise further funds for other urgent work, including a new heating system.
