In memory of Roger, raising funds to support his care in Newbury, split 50/50 between Newbury Cancer Care and Berkshire Healthcare NHS FT.
In memory of Roger/Dad – supporting the care that mattered most
In the final days of Roger’s life, he was cared for in Newbury with a level of compassion and dignity that we will never forget.
The team there didn’t just look after him, they looked after all of us. In the hardest moments, they brought calm, kindness, and reassurance that made an incredibly difficult time feel more human.
The Rainbow Rooms, where he spent his last days, gave us something truly precious: space, privacy, and the chance to simply be together as a family. It is difficult to put into words what that meant to us.
Rather than flowers at the funeral, we are asking for donations in Roger’s memory to support the people and places that made such a difference to his care.
All donations will be split equally (50/50) between:
These contributions will support the ward, the staff who do such extraordinary work every day, and the Rainbow Rooms that provide comfort to families at the most difficult time.
Thank you for anything you feel able to give, and for helping us recognise the care, dignity and humanity shown to Roger and to all of us.
Sandra, Ian and Lou
