Aim: To honour our sleeping baby boy Sebby and to provide a new Art Therapy service for women and families who have experienced similar trauma.

💜🩵Hello everyone,

As some of you aware that we recently lost our little baby boy at 24 weeks pregnant. I gave birth to our little sleeping poorly baby boy the other week. We are both absolutely devastated by this loss and everyday is painful. We miss him everyday and we know that time is the best healer, but It still doesn't stop the pain.

Myself and Nick are both freelance self-employed and haven't been able to work during this traumatic time. However, having had some incredible support from Kath our mental health midwife at the Tameside Hospital. Kath was holding my left hand whilst Sebby left me to rest, whilst was on my right we could not have done it without her. She has inspired me to develop my own private Art Psychotherapy practice for women, families and friends who have experienced this trauma. I truly believe that this is is my calling. We are both a believer that everything happens for a reason and Sebby has given me the courage to be able to provide a safe space for this cause. As Kath made me aware that there are limited Art Therapeutic services available for this type of Trauma.

I was shocked to hear about so many women, family members, friends and complete strangers who have experienced this trauma and yet they sat in silence. I want to put a stop to this silence and help people through what we have experienced.

This crowd funder is to honour our Sebbys life and help us through this difficult time. Also, some of you are aware that we are developing our own  workspace in a mill that we rent out in Stalybridge. The development of this has recently been put on hold due to our recent traumatic events. Our aim is to use these funds to develop this space further and have it completed, ready to use for when we return.

The Mill space has been divided into separate work spaces for myself and nick to work completely freelance. I will have several separate works spaces where I can host and provide one to one and group Art Psychotherapy sessions for people who are in need of safe space.

Additionally, these funds will be used to get specialist training in specific areas of trauma and grief alongside using my Art Psychotherapy masters. These specific area's include: MTOP (medical termination of pregnancy), miscarriage, stillbirth, child loss and SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). With the above in mind, as an art therapist I also need some time to heal and grieve. We are currently looking into the above options, however, these will commence once I feel ready mentally and physically.

If you know anyone who is in need of any support like this, then I will be more than willing to help them through this awful experience. I currently have a website for my private practice which is going to be developed to include this specific line of work. At the moment we are both grieving and trying to get through each moment of the day. But once we return from our trip, my aim and passion is to put my all into making this a success. Like I said, this is my calling. Thank you Sebby for being my light, love and showing me a new path. I will always love you and miss you forever. Every time I feel the sun on my face I feel you there with me. I love you.

Thank you for taking the time for reading this. Thank you to everyone who has been there for us during all of this. We cannot thank you enough. Every time you feel the sun on your face, it's our little Sebby smiling down at us.

All our love, Zoe, Nick and our sleeping boy Sebby.🩵💜
