Improve our 'football for all' facilities

Who are we?

We are Graig Villa Dino (GVD) FC. We are the largest grassroots club in Newport with more than 500 players and boys and girls sides from 6-18 and men's and women's sides.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We want to build the best possible facilities for now and the future and ensure we can have the best standard of football at our Whiteheads home and give our supporters the best possible experience and access. We have great links with our community and support from parents and our GVD family.

We want to improve the access and viewing experience for our supporters by creating a path alongside the pitch and adding a covered stand. 

We're growing the game in our community and across the city with hundreds of young players, boys and girls teams and a new women's team too.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The money raised will be used to fund a covered stand* with up to 100 seats and improvements to the facilities and access at our home pitch. 

Community impact

We are proud to be the affiliated football club at Whitehead Sports and Social Club and are committed to the club's social and community ethos of providing the community with access to quality sport and leisure facilities. We have strong links with all the sporting sections of the club, particularly the thriving rugby club giving children the opportunity to play multi-sports at a young age. 

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
