Improve the facilities at our 117 year old bowls pavilion to help preserve it for future generations another 117 years from now.
We are Victoria Saints Bowls Club based at Victoria Park in Swansea. We have been playing lawn bowls here since 1909 and we are one of the most successful lawn bowls clubs in Swansea.

Our bowls pavilion was built over 117 years ago for an entirely different way of life, through-out it's 117 year history it has had very little work completed on it and it is now in need of essential improvement to its facilities to ensure it survives for another 117 years.
We would like to carry out the following improvement works
By completing these works and carrying out maintenance we will ensure that the bowls pavilion remains a hub of a community and protects the future of lawn bowls at Victoria Park.
If we rewind a few years, there were 6 clubs playing at Victoria Park and today there is unfortunately only ourselves responsible for the growing maintenance costs of the bowls green & pavilion.

We will be working with Swansea Council accessing their Community Investment Fund, a 70-30 initiative where the council will fund 70% while the bowls club will raise the remainder 30%.
Initial survey costs estimates the works will cost in the region of £40,000 - £50,000 and through Crowdfunding we hope to raise £6,000 - £12,000 with further support from SportWales to raise up to the remaining target.
All funds will be invested into the improvement of facilities at Victoria Park Bowling Green which is also open to the public.
Our Bowls Pavilion is also used by local councillors who hold regular workshops with residents as well as hosting a open community well-being sessions. The pavilion is available to use for the benefit of the community and offers toilet facilities and a safe location to visitors of the park.

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
