Have the chance to own world class art while supporting a great cause
On Saturday, September 12th, I’m planning to run 22 miles as part of the Impetus Relay at Clapham Common with Brookfield Cares. I'm doing this to raise money for the Impetus Foundation, which works to support youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.
To raise money for the cause, I’m doing something a bit different – selling £10 prize draw tickets for the chance to win a piece of art: African Daisies by Andrew Salgado. Each individual ticket provides one entry and one chance to win the piece.
I first came across Andrew’s work at the Saatchi Yates in 2023 and was struck by his style, with quick brushstrokes that make ordinary scenes come alive. He is now being represented by Beers, a major gallery in London, and his international profile is only going to grow. I really like this piece and can see it bringing much-needed color to someone’s wall to brighten up the London winter.
The piece is valued at £1,200, and each dollar raised above the cost will go to support Impetus and their mission to transform the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds by ensuring they get the right support to succeed in school, in work and in life.
