Aim

I want to publish those books that might not get published anywhere else, books outside the urban centric world. Small run, beautiful books

My name is Jeb Loy Nichols and for the past 40 years I've been a successful musician, writer and artist.  I've released 20 records, both on major labels and on independents, and I've travelled the world playing concerts.  I've had songs in films and on TV.  I've had exhibitions of my artwork in New York, London, Tokyo and Berlin.  I've had three novels published - the past two by Pushcart Press through WW Norton.  For the past 25 years I've lived in a remote corner of Wales and  I now want to stay at home and publish my own books and books by some of my creative neighbours.  I want to publish books that are outside the urban, London centric world of publishing.  I want to celebrate the small, the handmade, the eccentric; I want to live and work outside the established marketplace.  I want to produce small run, hand crafted books, pamphlets and broadsides that will include poetry, essays, and novels.  I want to create a rural language of impermanence.  The money raised will go towards the manufacturing of the books - a hybrid of hand pressing, traditional binding and digital printing.  The books will be sold in local bookshops and online.  I currently sell books and prints on my personal website and understand the workings of that world.   www.jebloynichols.co.uk
