With over 200 bed spaces of Supported Housing, our mission is to end the revolving door of homelessness. To achieve this, we have seven housing projects in Bedfordshire.
We recognise the trauma caused by homelessness, providing a safe and aspirational place for people to live, and the skills and support for long-term independent living.
The success of our housing allows us to make an even bigger IMPAKT in the community and offer other support services.
Our Domestic Abuse Support Services (DART, DASS and DAST) offer intensive bespoke support for individuals suffering domestic abuse with or without children, looking to move into safe accommodation. The team also provide emotional and practical support to help smooth the transition.
Supported Lodgings is a bit like fostering but less involved. It provides accommodation with host families in the community for young people aged 16-25, who may be leaving care, or find themselves homeless and who would feel happier in a community setting.
IMPAKT Food operates every Thursday and Friday in Bedford and offers a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, cupboard stables and packet food. There is no criteria and no referral required, meaning anyone is welcome to use the service that needs it.
IMPAKT Preloved supplies re-usable furniture and domestic appliances, everything from chairs, tables and lounge suites to beds, wardrobes, washing machines and cookers. This prevents such items from ending up in landfill needlessly.
