I'm driving to Ukraine to deliver aid

Aim
I'm driving to Poland once a month to deliver medical aid and food for Ukrainian women and children living in Poland. Can you help me?
I was loading furniture off the van outside our shop and I could hear people in the cafe talking about the war and how terrible it is. I got very grumpy and annoyed and thought 'if it is that upsetting, why don't you go and do something helpful'
Later that evening I was telling my wife about it, and realised I was also guilty of sitting on my backside and moaning, without helping. I have a Luton van and two weeks free later this month, so here is my chance to actually help. My wonderful friend Charlie Thompson is living in Poland and is arranging the drop off points so we can ensure the aid gets to the people who need it most. Ideally I want to leave the UK on Wednesday 16th March, so we don't have long to get organised!
Please help me by either donating either funds or supplies so that we can all help make a difference. I also need help with my expenses such as for diesel and ferries etc. If there is any money left over will be given to the Red Cross in Ukraine.
You can drop supplies to my home in Merriott, Somerset - see my facebook page for details, or you can arrange to deliver to the shop in Bridport, but make sure I'm there first! Alternatively, please donate and we will buy what is needed.
An example of supplies that are desperately needed are:
- Wet wipes, nappies, baby food and formula, baby shampoo etc
- Ladies sanitary products
- Toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo
- Batteries and torches
- Blankets and sleeping bags
- Foil blankets
- Water purification/chlorine tablets
- Paracetemol and ibuprofen
- First aid kits
- Non- perishable foods
- Pet food
- Army grade tents
- Defibrillators
- Heaters
I will also be asking local businesses to donate. Lets make this so successful that I need to do more than one trip!
