New stretch target
We are so grateful to how well this project has been received by the local community and the generous support already given.
We never thought we'd reach our initial fundraising target so quickly so a massive thankyou to everyone!
We're going to keep the crowdfunding page open for a little while longer and have set a stretch target. Any other funds received will go towards an information board about the orchard which will include information about the trees planted, maintenance days and any up coming events held at the orchard.
Working with local charities, schools and businesses the hope is that the orchard will become a real community asset where people can learn more about how trees and nature can benefit the environment. They will be able to help themselves to the fruit or receive gifted fruit as well as learn more about West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and the important work we do around making West Yorkshire Safer.
