Aim

2023 Marks the teams 50th year. We are offering a chance for one lucky winner to become the owner of the beautiful, bespoke "Idris's Chair"

The Prize

The name 'Cadair Idris' (being one of the highest peak in our operational area at 893m) is Welsh for 'the Chair of Idris'. According to Welsh folklore Idris was a giant, who was said to have used Llyn Cau (a lake near the summit) as an enormous chair.

Our own "Idris's Chair" has been crafted and donated to the team by one of our team members. To mark the 50th year since the formation of the Team, we are offering you the chance to win this beautiful chair in - Aberdyfi Search and Rescue's Prize Draw. Entry to the Prize Draw Costs £5.00

The Cause

Aberdyfi Search and Rescue is operated solely by volunteers and is entirely funded through charitable donations and fundraising activity. All funds raised through the "Idris's Chair" Prize Draw will help to maintain the team's operational status (providing funding for equipment and training) to enable us to continue to provide a Search and Rescue Service, day and night, 365 days a year in wild and remote locations throughout South Snowdonia and Mid Wales.
