We need you to help us get our debut album out into the world, the way it's meant to be!
We are very excited to announce that our debut album is recorded and we are preparing to release it into the world! But in order to do justice to the music that we are very proud of, we need the funds to pay for artwork, physical albums, and all of the other incredibly expensive costs that come with producing an album.
The album, "The Fruits of Idleness, Disgrace and Death", recorded and mixed by the wonderful Alex Garden at Rattle and Brash in Stroud and mastered by the inimitable Nick Cook is the culmination of years of work, and we are incredibly happy with how it has come out. A sprawling mass of 13 tracks coming in at just a little over an hour, with a cinematic approach to sound influenced by our shared love of film music, minimalism, musical theatre, punk and electronic music, the album is a our first true reflection of our musical influences and creativity. We plan to release the CD and vinyl as gatefold with beautiful original painted artwork by Myfanwy Brice, bringing visual life and colour to the music. We truly believe in what we've made, but we need your help to bring it to life.
If you like, you can think of this as a preorder, with exciting optional extras! On offer as well as digital and physical copies of the album are a variety of different rewards, including prints of the original watercolour artwork from the inside cover; the original vinyl test pressing; lessons or an new tune from one of us; or even a house concert from your favourite band Craven! Any reward sent in the post will also come with limited edition Crowdfunder supporter stickers.
We are already paying out of pocket for engineering, mixing, mastering and studio hire, so this Crowdfunder is to get the physical album made both as CD and vinyl, pay for the incredible artwork being done by Myfanwy Brice, create prints of that artwork, as well as stickers and tote bags, and to cover packaging and postage costs.
Your support for us means the absolute world. Making this album has been a labour of love, and trying to create something on this scale without label-backing is a real ambitious undertaking. We simply can't do this the way we believe in without your support and any donation, or any sharing of this page, is hugely appreciated.
With our gratitude,
