Aim

Sustainable hand painted soft under and relaxing wears | modern | luxe | illustrative | environmentally balancing

My vision is to produce sustainable hand painted, soft underwear & relaxing wear through easy, modern & luxe silhouettes & finishes. Luxury slow fashion.

Working with a holistic approach to create sustainable luxury in our changing world. Using bamboo jerseys, silks, voiles, organdies & lightweight linens to botanically hand dye, hand paint & hand print; in a modern relaxed illustrative style. Idealistically to have no barrier of age or gender through easy shapes & styles. To be a seasonless collection, going against the industry routine, bringing back the joy in waiting.

(inspiration board)

Aiming to be created through sourcing sustainable, natural & organic materials, within the uk as wholly as possible. Contributing to creating a world where we can all live well, by working against climate change & social equality. Consistently exploring how to create a better balance between ourselves, nature & each another.

(Range example idea)

Working in small batches, marked with information to understand the uniqueness of each garment, eventually opening up to collaborate with other artists, always keeping it small. As a woman, I have a particular affinity with other women of whom I would particularly love to elevate, celebrate.

(Sketches of how it will look)

In the future I would love to build a community embracing & celebrating all who take part. Hopefully through workshops in life drawing, hand painting & dyeing. As I progress, I would love to include more styles & homeware. I would also ideally employ a like minded freelance pattern cutter & seamstress, & to also find an organic & sustainable print mill, so I can focus on hand painting. Lastly I would also love to source & re-life deadstock fabrics & tshirts as bases, to save from landfill or destruction.

These will be lighter & freer in style as below

I will endeavour to find the least damaging fabrications, with as little a carbon footprint as possible, in order to create as little an effect on the environment. To help educate & encourage better choices.

I am crowdfunding to test out this project & see where it can go.
