Aim: Help Serious Billy Productions bring their new play to Edinburgh Fringe!

WHO?

Serious Billy Productions was founded three years ago by a group of University of Warwick students who are serious about producing exceptionally funny comedy. After two sold-out productions at Warwick (Amateur Chef and Nobody’s Fool) they have teamed up with Oxford Revue Alumni to develop 'I’d Like A Job Please', showing at Paradise in the Vault (The Annexe) 5 - 6pm from 3rd - 10th August.

WHAT??

'I'd Like a Job Please' follows Sarah Snelson, a recent graduate looking for her first 'real' job. When Sarah lands an opportunity at Swell, a trendy wellness brand, her initial relief and excitement quickly give way to concern as she begins to suspect the brand is not all that it seems.

Audiences can expect fast-paced, laugh-out-loud comedy that takes some surreal and unexpected turns, as we enter a world of wellness, podcasting, recruitment, and coffee…

WHY???

Predictably, this show was borne out of the writer's prolonged struggle to find a job after Uni. If you've ever been rejected from a barista job, spent hours writing cover letters only to never hear back, or rolled your eyes at an inspiring quote from an entrepreneurial podcaster, then 'I'd Like a Job Please' might be the show for you!

As a student-led production, we are having to rely on public funding to pay venue, tech and marketing costs. Currently, our funding target is £1700.

Here's a cost breakdown:

£395 - Fringe Registration

£1575 - Venue

£113.75 - Tech Operator

£150 - Marketing (printing flyers and posters)

We recognise that life is becoming increasingly expensive and there are plenty of charitable causes that are more deserving of your support than a silly comedy show.

But, if you enjoyed the free preview show at Warwick and are willing to donate a few quid to support our Fringe debut, we'd really appreciate it. Any amount could make a huge difference.

If you can't donate but still want to support us, we'd love it if you could share our crowdfund page and/or social media posts to help promote the show.

We thank you in advance for all your help and support.

xoxo,

Serious Billies
