Hi, and thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
I’m Sam Jones, a 16-year-old student taking on a five day walking/camping challenge across Somerset to raise money for two causes that mean a lot to me:
The British Heart Foundation, which does incredible work funding research and support for people affected by heart disease which includes my good friend Oscar who will be walking with me and Operation Wallacia, a conservation research organisation which I will be joining for two weeks next July on a research program in Indonesia. This amazing experience will support my learning and personal development and give me the opportunity to consider science and conservation as my future. Raising any funds for my trip is all part of the experience!
This walk won’t be easy. Walking from Porlock to the west to Frome in the east, and we will traipse through as many towns as possible to get our causes known, but I’m committed to pushing myself for something worthwhile.
I’ll be splitting your amazing donations evenly between my two organisations.
Thank you in advance for anything, big or small, and if you can’t donate, just wish me luck!! 😬
