I Miss You, I'm Sorry is a student short film about the grief and turmoil after a mother's death as a daughter, and how to move on.

by Bethany Gribble in London, England, United Kingdom

A young woman, desperate to get the signs from her deceased mother, has to face a wake-up call to the realities of her harmful situation.

"I Miss You, I'm Sorry" is a short drama following the story of 18-year-old Harmonia Campbell, desperate for the longing of her mother's fading presence after her passing three months prior.

Her older brother Apollo can see the distraught his sister is in. With her grades declining and self-care diminishing, she is at her absolute lowest point. But, he can't get through to her due to one factor: her religion.

Harmonia spends her days praying for a sign from her mother, staying optimistic in the wake of nothingness. But, is this a healthy coping mechanism anymore? Is this way of believing serving her any good, or is it just ripping her apart from the inside out? And most importantly, can Apollo help her realise this?

This small fundraiser will help aid our project, from the travel and food costs of the cast and crew, to the props and set design of the house we will be filming in. This story is very intense and emotional, and we want the viewer to feel immersed into Harmonia's world, as well for everyone involved to feel welcome and looked after during our shoot. So, to do that, we ask for a goal of £300 to help with these costs.

If you donate over £10, we will feature your name in the credits.

Thank you.
