On the 9th December Echo snapped her leg in two. Insurance will cover 5,000 which has covered her initial treatment but not recover treatmen
Echo is a rescue pomeranian who at only 3 years old has already had a rough time of it. Since being adopted she's been living the high life up in Shetland. On the 9th December Echo snapped her leg when out on a walk and needed 2 plates to fuse the bones back together.
Insurance will cover up to 5k for treatment but with almost 4.5k of this already used for Diagnosis & Surgery we are looking at a significantly higher bill than the 5k we have.
Echos recovery will be 12-16 weeks ok crate rest and her treatment involves a vet consultation every 3 days to have bandages changed and the wound checked. She will require medication and also xrays every 6 weeks to check on the healing progress of the leg ..this along without any complications will take us over the amount we have.
We would be incredibly grateful for any amount spared to help Echo's recover as unfortunately the Vets have said that if the bill cannot be met then the only option would be for her to be put to sleep - something we cannot accept as an option.
Any funds raised in excess of the treatment cost will be donated back to the charity that we rescued Echo from meaning the funds will go towards helping other dogs who need it.
Echo two days after her operation.
Eafter her 1st follow up appointment! New bandage and medicine to help her pain
