Inspired by a true event & with underlying themes of biblical stories our film has a personal connection and I'll let our director tell you how. "Hi, I’m Ben, the director for I for an Eye. I’m currently in the final year of Metfilm with the dream of directing other projects in the future. This story that we’re in the process of crafting is inspired by a true event that personally affected me. My childhood friend, Ažuolas Zygelis aged 15 was murdered in Barking in 2021. Unfortunately no answers were given into how, who or why this occurred but it left a stain on an already broken community. The grief that followed from the unanswered questions has lead me wanting to create a film in his memory to honour him, his family and countless victims like him. We hope your contributions can spread awareness and push the fight to end violence on the streets of London."
