I do, I did, I’m DONE! Divorce Party Start Up

Aim

I’m raising money to start up Ms Marvelous Events - a party planning business for divorcees to celebrate the start of a new chapter in life!

I’m a single mum of two whose been working hard in a 9-5 corporate job for years and missing out on important parts of my children’s lives in the quest to maintain our little family and keep the household afloat. Regardless of how hard I work, promotions and pay rises do not make up for the time lost while my kids grow and I’m still in debt and struggling to pay the bills after all these years. 

I’ve thought long and hard about starting a business as I realise now that this is the only way to be successful and have enough time and money to give my children the life they deserve. After many hours spent on self evaluation I’m aware of what I’m good at and where my natural talents lie and decided to incorporate this into a business plan- the result....an events business.

I began researching into event planning and realised the market is more or less flooded, however a new and catchy idea I came across that is rapidly gaining popularity in America is divorce parties. Having gone through an unpleasant separation myself, the idea of celebrating a divorce was appealing, and having looked further into it as a business in the UK it’s a fairly niche business idea. The only problem I currently have is finding the money to start my business- hence the crowdfunding page! I have a great plan and know that this can and will be a successful business once it gets going. The initial funds will be used to create a website, build a brand, advertise and host a ladies night launch party, so please donate and share my vision ????
