Play a part in the making of local history and help us to build our very own rehearsal rooms in the New Forest
For the past 15 years, Hyde Band has been without a permanent home. Around 20 years ago, we were generously gifted a piece of land in Gorley, and after a long and determined journey, we are delighted that planning permission was finally granted on 15th September 2020.
This was a significant milestone for us as a dedicated band hall will provide:
We are now working to complete our “Building for Brass” project and are looking to raise the remaining £50,000 (towards a total of £100,000).
These funds will go towards:
We are appealing to everyone—friends, supporters, and the wider community—to help us bring this project to completion.
For larger donations or sponsorship opportunities, please get in touch—we would be delighted to create a tailored package for you.
With your help, we can secure the future of Hyde Band for generations to come.
Based in the Ringwood/Fordingbridge area of the New Forest, Hyde Band has been part of the local community for over 130 years. We perform at local events, support charities, and have run a thriving training band, offering tuition to people of all ages—from young children to retirees.
Music is no longer a priority in the English school curriculum, so we are passionate about filling that gap by providing free tuition and low-cost instrument hire. Many of our senior players began their journey in this way and now play key roles within the band.
As a registered charity, we are committed to giving back. Each year, we proudly support local events and lead the Fordingbridge Remembrance Parade, with members also performing at smaller services across the area.
