We are raising money for food banks and community meal providers to help feed hungry people over winter in Brighton & Hove.

The coronavirus crisis has hugely increased the poverty of residents of Brighton & Hove. We need to continue to ensure the most affected are not left hungry at home. We need your help to provide food parcels and cooked meals for those who are living in poverty and isolated.
Thanks to the amazing goodwill of local people, we raised over £51,000 in our last crowdfund earlier this year. However due to the enormous numbers of people needing emergency food, this has now been spent.
At the height of lockdown this year over 42 organisations across the city were giving out 3,001 emergency food parcels a week and 3,966 meals.
As we go into winter and another lockdown, many local residents have lost their income and many older and vulnerable people are isolating at home. The added pressure of winter heating bills and costs for Christmas mean that historically winter is the hardest time of the year for families’ pockets. This year it will be even harder.
Why we need your donation
All funds raised on this page will be split proportionally (by number of beneficiaries) with the organisations below.
'Their help is the lifeline I needed during these hard times. I used to go days without food but now I eat regularly.' Food parcel recipient
