A fundraising sleep out event in Hull UK to raise funds for support of Ukrainians displaced by the conflict in Ukraine 2022
Hull4Ukraine are a community group with Charity Commission registration pending.
We have been collecting items of aid such as food, clothing, nappies and toiletries from members of the public since the conflict started in February 2022. To date we have sorted, packed and transported in excess of 150 Tonnes of aid to Poland, Romania and Ukraine. We are supporting our Ukrainian guests in the UK with clothes and other items, welcoming events and English language classes.
We are looking to raise additional funds to continue to support those displaced by this conflict both in Eastern Europe and here within the UK. Some of these funds will be used to buy much needed food and other essential items to be sent into Ukraine and the surrounding countries to help those Ukrainians displaced by the conflict.
We will be running a fundraising event later in the year by creating a makeshift refugee camp here in Hull, UK, and asking participant to sponsor themselves with family , friends etc. We originally scheduled this for 19th August but circumstances beyond our control has meant this will be postponed to later in the year.
This account was originally to be used to collect some of this sponsorship money, but now matures before we can run the event. We will use this for donations from anyone currently wishing to support our efforts is support of Ukrainians displaced by the conflict.
