Why We Need Your Support

To make our vision a reality, we urgently need to complete the installation of electricity and running water at our site. This isn’t just about infrastructure, it’s about unlocking new opportunities for young people.

The funds raised will go towards:

• Connecting electricity to power lights, heating, and equipment for educational and sports activities.
• Bringing running water to improve hygiene and create a safe, welcoming environment for all.
• Reducing running costs: Having permanent utilities will significantly lower our current expenses, freeing up resources to reinvest in more positive activities for young people.
• Maintaining and enhancing our eco-friendly spaces, ensuring sustainability for years to come.

At Pitch 2 Progress, we believe in the power of sport, education, and community to change lives. We’re a team of passionate individuals who have worked tirelessly to turn Green Lane Playing Fields into a vibrant hub where young people can play, learn, and grow. From repurposing shipping containers into eco-friendly spaces to offering life changing sports programmes, our mission is simple: to inspire young people, support their dreams, and build a stronger community.

What We Do

Our youth centre is a space where young people feel safe, supported, and engaged. We run a range of regular activities, including:

• Weekly Football Sessions: Developing teamwork, leadership, and physical fitness.
• Girls-Only Boxing Classes: Empowering young women through sport and building self-confidence.
• NFL Flag Football Sessions: Offering an exciting, alternative sport that promotes teamwork and inclusion.
• School-Based Mentoring Programmes: Supporting young people in local schools with personal development and employability skills.
• Youth Club Sessions: Including our Sunday open access youth club, providing a safe space for socialising, learning, and growth.
• Warm Space & Morning Coffee Club for Mums: Tackling isolation and providing a welcoming environment for families.

We also host ad hoc community events, such as:

• Holiday Camps and Sports Tournaments
• Social action projects
• Workshops on Life Skills, Mental Health, and Employability
• Community Fun Days and Cultural Events
• Leadership Courses for Young People

• Expanding our educational programmes, including IT skills workshops, homework clubs, and youth-led social media marketing teams.
• Creating a dynamic indoor space with flexible learning areas, powered by sustainable utilities.
• Growing our mentoring and leadership programmes to reach more young people.
