To help aid the growth & reach of Horsforth Brewery we need to be able to can more beer more quickly.
Business Background
Horsforth B
rewery started in owner Mark's garage at home in August 2017. Since then Mark went full-time with the brewery in March 2020 it's moved twice and is now in its current home, a former restaurant, increasing from a sole trader operating alone to a team of 5 with a dedicated taproom space.

Since moving into our new premises in October 2020, we have been working solidly to improve our brewery and taproom into a welcoming space produci
ng top quality beer and distributing it throughout West Yorkshire.

Canning Machine
We bought our first canning machine in August 2020 and have since canned over 100,000 cans with it. Now the brewery is established in its premises it's time to improve our canning capabilities and move to an automated machine.
The current machine is manually operated, taking a lot of time away from the team being able to work on more fun activities such as brewing even more amazing beer!

Several exciting opportunities have arisen that we haven't been able to take advantage of with our current equipment and upgrading our canning equipment will enable us to take these opportunities.
Where Will The Money Go?
The machine we have identified is c£40k. Our initial funding target would enable us to fund a large proportion of the the machine, plus we would raise some funding by selling the current machine.

Stretch Target
That being said, we have a stretch target that would enable us to buy the machine outright and the sale of the current machine can be used to buy additional pieces of equipement to improve the quality and efficiency of our canning proicess.

All of these additions will enable us to increase our canning capacity as we grow the brewery and business.
And if there's even more funding, we will use them to continue the improvements in the taproom.
