Aim
We want to raise money to take a small group of disadvantaged children with additional needs on a residential two day adventure/orienteering
We are an independent school in Dagenham, working with children with Behavioural, Emotional, Social problems as well as Autism and ADHD. We would like to take some of our children on a residential trip. We are trying to raise £1000 for this. In addition to crowdfunding some members of staff will be doing a hike of 24 miles in Wales and are hoping for sponsorships for that, to top up the funding we need. The residential trip will help our pupils with a number of things, social skills, independent skills, as well as self help skills. Our students have never been on residential trips before and this would be a wonderful experience for them and we hope will help raise their self esteem. Most of the activities will teach our students the importance of team work and give them a sense of achievement. This is a great opportunity for you to help young people be part of the wider community and feel included in the things their mainstream peers get to do regularly either in primary or secondary school. Our children deserve to be rewarded for the efforts they put in at our school to improve themselves and to reach their full potential and we hope we will be able to offer them this opportunity with your help.
