We are raising the funds needed to publish issue 8 of the Hope Valley Journal, by asking our readers to purchase their copy in advance.
The Hope Valley Journal is a celebration of one of the loveliest corners of Britain, Derbyshire’s Hope Valley, and the hills and dales of the northern Peak District.
Using beautiful words and images, the Journal encourages its readers to stop for a while and take in the wonders that surround us: the landscapes, the wildlife, the plants, the people. It is a local magazine with a difference and one we hope will be treasured both by the people lucky enough to live here and those further afield who love this place.
From the start it was important to me to make the Journal a beautiful object to reflect the beauty of the Hope Valley landscape. We work with the best photographers, illustrators and writers to create something that our readers will want to collect and enjoy over time. We print on high quality paper to make the Journal a joy to hold and to ensure its durability, and we insist on the best in litho printing, rather than digital printing, to make sure the wonderful images in our pages are given the depth and colour they deserve.

We are thrilled to announce that Issue 8 of the Hope Valley Journal is well underway, with a planned publication date in April this year. However, as with so many things at the moment, the costs of printing, paper and postage have increased significantly in the last 12 months, and covering the initial outlay required to produce the new issue is no longer affordable.
So we thought we would go back to where we started and aim to crowdfund Issue 8 of the Hope Valley Journal, essentially selling copies in advance to finance the issue’s production costs.
And that’s where you come in! We would be so grateful if you could help us in our campaign, buy a copy of issue 8 (or maybe even 2 copies!) and help us raise the funds we need. We have a month to hit our target, and we’re offering some lovely rewards for our supporters.

In essence, we are asking you to buy your copy of Hope Valley Journal issue 8 in advance to help us raise the funds we need. For £12 (including p+p), you will receive your copy on your doorstep in April - hot off the press.
However, we're also offering some brilliant rewards for our supporters who'd like to pledge a bit more to our fundraising campaign, including beautiful prints donated by some of the Journal's favourite landscape photographers.
