I’m 34 and grew up in a small village in Wales. Life wasn’t easy—my mum left when I was three, and I grew up as a young carer for my brother, who has cerebral palsy. My childhood was filled with hospital visits, seeing him have seizures, and longings for a better future for both of us. Whilst I adored my brother and wouldn’t change a thing, I didn’t have the childhood or family set up that other children around me had. I dreamt of my own family one day and that did happen. I had my daughter in 2023 however my family since broke down. Like other single mum’s, I have a lot of responsibility and the future is daunting. My drive now is to create a secure, thriving future for my child and to show her that a single mother can provide her with the future she deserves. I’ve always dreamed of having my own business and my current situation has motivated me to take the leap.
For five years, I supported my ex-partner’s Airbnb business, and during that time I noticed a gap in the market. Big management companies exist, but they take huge cuts and don’t offer flexible, local support. I want to provide Airbnb hosts with reliable, local administrative services—managing bookings, pricing, guest communication, check-ins, reviews, and offering advice—while still letting hosts retain control and insight over their properties.
My vision is to make hosting stress-free, profitable, and efficient, giving hosts time back while helping me build a stable future for my family. The funds I raise will go directly into setting up my business infrastructure—software, marketing, and resources to support my first clients—so I can start delivering this service and growing sustainably.
The money I raise will help me turn my idea into a fully functioning, sustainable business. It will go towards the essential start-up costs, including subscriptions to property management and pricing software, a reliable computer, and tools to run the business efficiently. I’ll also invest in creating a professional website and building a strong brand, as well as advertising and marketing to reach Airbnb hosts who need support.
Legal support is another key priority, to ensure contracts, agreements, and compliance are all in place, giving hosts peace of mind. I’ll also use funds for professional insurance, accounting software, and communication tools to make sure every interaction with clients is professional and seamless.
To deliver the best service possible, I’ll invest in ongoing training and resources, and set aside a small reserve for unexpected costs or slow months. Every contribution will help me provide hosts with reliable, local support, take the stress out of hosting, and create a secure, thriving future for my child.
