Hope Family Christmas food and help

The Hope Centre in Partington started in 2020 to provide emergency help for our local community during the covid 19 crisis. Since then the project has evolved into a long-term food pantry - providing a weekly food shop for all struggling residents. We also have a household support fund, providing emergency help such as energy top-ups and ovens for households with nowhere else to turn. 

Our community is incredible but sadly suffers from one of the highest rates of poverty in the country, with many families doing their best but struggling to afford even the basics. We currently have around 600 households registered with us and regularly benefitting from help. 

Each Christmas we've been providing Christmas food hampers of treats and Christmas extras along with a large shop of regular food for the holiday season. We've also provided brand-new toys for families to help with the holiday financial pressures and avoid further debt. Many households struggle with the costs of heating and energy during the winter, and our help also enables struggling, vulnerable people to stay warm and keep the energy on. This year is no different, but the need is greater than ever and funds have never been tighter! Organisations who have previously helped with support funds and food don't have anything spare this Christmas, so we're looking to raise funds through Crowdfunder to enable us to keep supporting the people who most need it this Christmas. Without extra help, for the first time we're going to have to turn people away. 

Every single penny donated through Crowdfunder will go right to the place it was donated for - no management, running or staff costs taken out.
