Aim

Homebody - a community wellbeing space in Moreton in Marsh for yoga, workshops, treatments and connection. Where everyone feels at home.

What is Homebody?

Loneliness and social isolation are increasing across the UK, particularly in smaller, rural towns like the North Cotswolds, where there are few accessible spaces to regularly connect, spend time or feel part of a community.

Homebody is not just another yoga studio. It is a shared community living space in Moreton in Marsh designed to respond directly to this need, bringing people together through movement, rest, work and shared experiences. It offers yoga, meditation, workshops, events and flexible daytime co-working in a welcoming, inclusive environment that prioritises connection over performance.

The space is made up of four distinct areas: two yoga and movement studios, one private treatment room, and a separate communal reception and lounge space.

This communal space functions as both a welcoming arrival area and a flexible daytime co-working and drop-in space, ensuring the building is active and used throughout the day.

Together, these spaces create a shared, accessible environment where people can move, work, rest, attend events or simply spend time. Homebody is designed to operate as both a daytime community hub and an evening wellbeing space.

The space

I have already found a lovely, light and welcoming space in the heart of Moreton in Marsh that I am currently looking into leasing. It feels calm, open and full of potential, the kind of place you instantly want to slow down in. Homebody is rooted in this very real possibility, not just an idea.

Who is behind Homebody?

Homebody is being created by Daisy of yogadais. I am a local yoga teacher who believes deeply in connection, community and creating spaces where people feel able to be themselves.

I have spent years teaching, holding space and building trusted community across the Cotswolds, and Homebody is a natural extension of that work. Now feels like the right moment to bring this space to life and create somewhere people can move, create and collaborate together.1768603832_men's_yoga_yogadais_.jpeg

How Homebody will feel

Homebody is designed to feel like a home away from home. A place people feel comfortable the moment they walk through the door and connected to as if it were their own. Somewhere to slow down, feel good in your body, meet others and let creativity flow.

Why Moreton in Marsh needs this space

The vision is simple. Homebody becomes a calm, welcoming hub for the whole community, with particular care for those who often feel left out of traditional wellbeing spaces. A space where people feel safe to be themselves and more at home in their bodies and lives.

Moreton in Marsh is a growing, busy town, yet many people feel there are few welcoming spaces that are not purely commercial. Opportunities for connection outside of pubs or gyms are limited, and social isolation is increasing, particularly among men and older adults. There is also a shortage of flexible venues for community led ideas and events.

Homebody is designed as a shared solution that adapts to the people who use it and evolves alongside the town itself.

A space that belongs to you

You might come for a yoga class, a book club or a talk. Or you might come simply to sit with a cup of tea and a conversation. However you arrive, you belong.

By supporting Homebody, you are helping shape a space that belongs to the whole community, not just me.

How your support will be used

With your help, the money raised will help make this vision possible. Funds will be used as a buffer for rent, initial rent payments, startup equipment, fit out and painting of the space, marketing and launch costs, and some beautiful houseplants to help the space feel warm, alive and inviting from day one.

What happens if the full target is not reached?

Homebody is a 'keep what you raise' project.

If the full target is reached, the funds will allow me to secure the space, complete the fit out and open Homebody as planned.

If a partial amount is raised, Homebody will move forward in phases. This may include a simpler initial setup, securing the space for a shorter period, or running pop up classes and community events while the project continues to grow.

If the specific space does not go ahead, all funds raised will still be used solely for Homebody. This could include securing an alternative space in Moreton in Marsh, supporting pop up or temporary community wellbeing events, or covering essential setup costs that directly support the project’s launch.

At no point will funds be used for personal income. All contributions remain ring fenced for Homebody.

Alongside this crowdfund, I am personally investing my own savings into the project. The support raised here helps share the load and bring Homebody to life sooner, but this is something I am deeply committed to building for the long term.

Budget overview

Funds raised will be used approximately as follows:

• Rent buffer and initial rent payments – around 50%
• Fit out, painting and making the space welcoming – around 15%
• Equipment such as mats, props, furniture and storage – around 15%
• Marketing, signage and launch costs – around 10%
• Plants, soft furnishings and finishing touches – around 10%

This breakdown may flex slightly depending on what is raised, but all funds will be used directly to create and open Homebody.
