The Cause
At Home-Start Wessex, we provide friendship, practical, and emotional support to families with young children in Dorset facing challenges like mental health struggles, postnatal depression, disability, domestic abuse, bereavement, isolation, financial hardship, and multiple births.
We believe a child’s best start in life begins at home, in a nurturing and stable family environment. But when parents struggle—due to illness, job loss, debt, or housing insecurity—children suffer. Without love, routine, and support, their future is at risk.
Our trained volunteers step in to help families regain stability, offering vital care and guidance. We also run family support groups, creating safe spaces where parents can connect, share experiences, and build confidence while their children play and learn.
We depend on generous donations to continue this life-changing work. With your support, we can ensure every child gets the best possible start to life.
How to Enter
- To enter, participants can purchase prize draw entries via this Crowdfunder campaign. Entrants may enter as many times as they like.
- Free entry is also available by post. See the prize draw page for the free entry postal address.

These terms and conditions refer to our online raffle draw.
- No person under 18 years of age allowed to buy tickets.
- There are no refunds. Any entries received after the closing date will be treated as donations.
- A random number generator is used to select raffle prize winners. Prizes will be allocated in order of the tickets being drawn from the first prize down to the last one.
- Prize Draw will be drawn on Tuesday 22nd of April. The winners will be notified by phone and/or email within 3 days of the draw date.
- All profits from the raffle will go towards supporting families at Home-Start Wessex.
