Holy Trinity's Coffee Bar & Warm Space is located inside our church building, right in the heart of Warrington town centre at Market Gate, "the church by the skittles".

We offer a welcoming, accessible, safe & supportive space to all; a warm, inclusive, non-judgmental space where people can find community, make friends, receive pastoral care, be connected with other services or simply enjoy a hot drink and some toast.
On Mon, Wed & Fri mornings we operate a person-centred Coffee Bar & Warm Space, supported by local, trained volunteers.
Having thought many people would not return after Covid, we see more people coming through our doors who are seeking connection and empowerment for self-care, wellbeing and resilience, all of which risk being hampered by the cost-of-living crisis.
Our Coffee Bar & Warm Space is open to all. People come from across our town to call in for hot refreshments & a chat, and most identify with at least one of the following: in work, not in work, older, struggling with bills, economically disadvantaged, living with mental &/or physical health conditions, SEN, LGBTQ+, experiencing homelessness, experiencing isolation, from new communities, refugees & asylum seekers.
Our free-of-charge offering includes:
- hot refreshments
- a place of friendship & community
- a warm space
- pastoral care
- advice, support & connection to help provided by other organisations
- activities, including mindfulness colouring, storytelling & music
We need help with costs and we want to do more to serve our town. We work on a donation model and have always run at a small but affordable loss. We recently recruited our Pastoral Support Worker & Coffee Bar Coordinator so we could do more. Alongside the additional payroll costs, heating and food costs have risen sharply. In addition, we see the impact of the cost-of-living crisis and the longer-term impacts of Covid every day.
We want to do more to serve our town by extending our opening hours, expanding our FOC food offering and serving more people. That includes offering placements to help people unlock potential, boost confidence and improve prospects. To do that, as well as paying more for food and utilities, we need to increase our paid employees' working hours and train more volunteers.
We will spend the money raised to expand our offering and to support more people. The funds will contribute towards incremental payroll costs, supplies, training courses, support with travel costs for volunteers, day-to-day repairs & maintenance, introducing new activities, and promoting and making our Coffee Bar & Warm Space more welcoming. Should funds raised exceed the incremental costs, we will use the excess to fund existing Coffee Bar & Warm Space costs.
