The Big Holly Park Appeal is raising money for new audio-visual equipment for the school hall.
To give our children the learning opportunities they deserve, we urgently need to update the audio-visual equipment in our school hall. The current projection and sound system is almost 20 years old – a very long time in technology terms! It is increasingly unreliable; the picture quality is poor and there is always uncertainty around whether it will work when needed. The projector is also located high in the ceiling, making even basic maintenance difficult and expensive.
The hall is the heart of school life. It’s where our children come together for assemblies and performances, where teachers bring learning to life, and where we welcome parents, visitors and outside speakers into the school.
In early 2027, we hope to replace our outdated equipment with a modern video wall and new Bluetooth sound equipment. This would transform how we use the hall, providing a bright, clear display and reliable sound for teaching, assemblies, performances and presentations. It would improve the experience for every child in the school, as well as for parents, teachers and visitors, and give our PTA better facilities for fundraising events. We hope this is the kind of screen time where you can see the very real benefits!
The total cost to fund this equipment will be approximately £20,000. This is a significant sum that simply cannot be met from our already stretched school budget, so we're crowdfunding here with the aim of raising at least £5,000 towards it.
