We are Hollow Reed- the brainchild of Jordan Paul and Niamh Docherty, stemming from the lack of government funding in the arts sector.
With a mountain of creative passion, Northern Ireland is full of creativity. But when opportunities for young creatives are few and far between, we feel that it is the best solution to create opportunity for ourselves and fellow creatives so that we can continue to tell stories that are vital in our present day.
We have selected our first project- a new play written by Lisburn based writer Theo Traynor, focusing on the place of women in society, and how regardless of compatibility we are forced together through shared experience. We think it’s vital to share this story now, especially in the current climate of violence against women, and we need your help to raise funds for a rehearsal space and a performance venue.
Thank you so much for reading, and even more for contributing to Hollow Reed and providing a space for important stories to be told.
