Our summer camps give London children a break from City life and an opportunity to develop good communication and teamwork skills
How CHAOS began
CHAOS started as an idea by 3 school friends from one of the poorer boroughs within East London. Passionate about giving something back to the community, they decided to give a helping hand to others who hadn't had the same opportunities in life. So each year, the charity raises funds to run summer camps in Norfolk near the seaside, away from the pressures of City life. Camps encourage the children's participation in sport, games and team building activities, improving their communications skills and building their resilience.
How is CHAOS run
The charity is run entirely by unpaid volunteers and funded by donations and appeals. Running our Summer Camps costs around £30,000 and covers food, transport, equipment and other costs. Last year we provided holidays for 48 children.
Why we need help with funding
The demand for our services has increased due to the cost of living crisis and we plan to increase the number of holidays offered in 2024 by 50%. Please help us.
