We're raising money to support the creation and continuation of this vital green space as a community garden in West Sussex.
We're raising money to support the creation and continuation of the Hobbs Community Garden in West Sussex.
Hobbs Community Garden is a welcoming and vibrant West Sussex garden, dedicated to fostering community cohesion, local resilience, and a greener future, with a simple yet powerful mission, rooted in three core principles:
- Earth Care – Nurturing local biodiversity, championing organic gardening and growing with a sustainable mindset.
- People Care – Varying spaces to grow food, enhance wellbeing, socialize, share skills, and to connect with nature.
- Fair Share – Connecting to local schools to inspire the next generation, sharing with local food banks and collaborating with local businesses and community groups.
Community gardens play an increasingly important role across the UK, supporting wellbeing, environmental resilience and stronger local communities, and we would love to continue to offer this to our local residents.
Your donation will greatly help with the numerous tasks for the year ahead, these include:
- Creating growing beds and adding more plants
- Creating raised beds for elderly volunteers
- New timber edging
- New paths
- Creation of a wildlife pond
- Supporting workshops for varying ages
- General garden elements such as seeds, trays, garden gloves, supporting canes, arches for climbers, hosepipe, tools, etc
