We are using this crowdfunder to raise money to open Heatons Men In Sheds more often over this winter, creating a "Warm Space"

Who are we?

Heatons’ Men in Sheds is a voluntary group that aims to tackle social isolation in older members of the community.  Our Mens Shed provides a setting where people can socialise, work together, learn new skills and share their own skills. We are based in the 4 heatons but have members from all over Stockport.

Community impact

We meet and help each other, some members just come for a cup of tea and a talk, others get involved in the activities.   If you have a skill that you could share with the members either as a one-off formal lesson, or as by attending the meetings please let us know.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are using this crowdfunded to raise money to open Heatons Men In Sheds more often over this winter, creating a "Warm Space".   We are opening 3 times a week for meetings in the workshop to complete projects that help improve our community.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The money raised will go towards the day to day running of the shed, inclusions heating and electric, teabags!, and consumables like paint and sandpaper, and replacement tools.
