Aim
To build a safe and sustainable cricket training facility to allow the expansion of junior and women's cricket in High Lane.
High Lane Cricket club ...
is a community based cricket club currently offering sports opportunities to all age groups across the local area. Our vision is to offer a broader range of sports and open access to our facilities for everyone across our local community & beyond.
The story so far ....
With the support of Sport England, Football Foundation, Stockport Council and the community, we have already invested significantly in improving our ground, facilities and access in the last three years.
In 2020, we ran a crowdfunding campaign with your support to 'Improve our Pavilion'. This allowed us to convert our clubhouse into a community space open throughout the year for cricket, junior football and social events. Our 5* venue now is hosting christenings, weddings and parties which help us to financially support the expansion of junior sport and allow more of you to enjoy Middlewood.

Our challenge ...
The COVID-19 crisis hit our club during a significant period of investment, impacting on our immediate funding and expansion of sporting opportunities for new members. Our plans to expand into ladies cricket and increase the junior cricket section are currently on hold as our training facilities have limited capacity and don't meet current national guidelines.

How can you help?
To grow our cricket section, we need to invest in a new national standard net facility that will support our plans to increase membership by 40% and ensure we can practice safely whatever the weather and conditions.

To achieve this, we need your help to raise the remaining £15K funding ahead of the new season so we can start to build our cricket nets in August 2022.
In addition to benefiting our local community, our club is committed to providing affordable access to our sporting facilities to other groups, schools and teams from across Stockport area who don't currently have access.
