Aim

To help fund our legal representation at the public inquiry, to stop the industrialisation of the highlands.

ITS CRUNCH TIME AND WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO HELP FUND OUR LEGAL REPRESENTATION

The Public Inquiry into the Spittal, Loch Buidhe and Beauly  400kV OHL Proposals

There are moments that define a place for generations.

For many people across the Highlands, this is one of them.

The SSEN Spittal, Loch Buidhe and Beauly 400kV overhead line developments represent more than a planning application — they represent a decision about what the Highlands will become. Landscapes that have remained part of Scotland’s identity for centuries could be changed on an industrial scale, and once that change happens, there is no reversing it.

Communities are preparing to enter a public inquiry process against a major infrastructure proposal backed by substantial resources and technical expertise. Without specialist legal representation, local voices risk being overshadowed in a process that will influence the future of the Highlands for decades to come.

This crowd  funder has one urgent purpose: to raise funds for expert legal representation. It is about who gets a voice when decisions of national significance are made — and whether the people who live here can stand on equal footing in shaping the future of the Highlands.   All donations are much appreciated

Legal dispute

This project raises funds for a legal dispute. Neither Crowdfunder nor the project owner can guarantee its outcome, that it will be resolved, or that the amount raised will be enough to see it through. Even a favourable result may be appealed or overturned.
