Herne Hill Forum Halloween 2026

Aim

Help us deliver the Halloween Festival: a free, fun-filled event for families & young children with plenty of drop-in activities.

The Herne Hill Forum is a community group located in the heart of London's Herne Hill (postcode area SE24). What we do:

• Create vibrant community spaces: we recently replaced the train-shaped benches for sitting and playing while you wait next to the station.
• Produce engaging projects, such as the weekly Sunday farmer's market.
• Organise welcoming events, like our Halloween Festival!

Our popular Halloween event is a free, fun-filled, and inclusive event for all children and families living in or passing through the Herne Hill area. The last few years were a great success, and we intend to return even bigger and better for 2026. You can:

• Dance your heart out to spooky tunes at the children's disco.
• Enjoy street performances: a dance show provided by a local troupe, and a stilt walker in costume.
• Try your luck with a prize draw or treasure hunt...
• Get your face painted like a creepy creature!
• Explore our dedicated areas: we will have a selfie corner with plenty of props, an area especially for toddlers to play, and a buggy park to declutter the main street.

None of the above would be possible without the support of Herne Hill's local businesses, residents, and volunteers. We need your help to make this celebration a reality again for yourself and your neighbours. We use the funds raised from this crowdfunder to cover a number of different costs, such as:

• Event organisation & support: graphic design, crowdfunding flyering, and generally getting the word out as wide as possible.
• Equipment rental: gazebos, tents, chairs, etc.
• Entertainers’ fees so there's plenty on show during the evening!
• Ensuring a safe and secure environment for all attendees: a first aider will be in attendance for the duration of the event, as will the fire department.

All donations are welcome and will be put to good use. Whether you throw in a single magic £1 coin or pour in a grand £50 potion, your generosity will help conjure a memorable and magical evening for all.

From 5pm to 7pm on Saturday October 31st, the pedestrian area out front of Herne Hill Station will transform into a spooktacular Halloween hub. Ghost or ghoul, witch or warlock, everyone is welcome and every penny counts as we work to realise this year's Halloween celebration!

Funding method

Keep what you raise – this project will receive all pledges made by 7th November 2026 at 12:00pm
