Wirral Coastal Walk 2023

Aim: Help us to grow so we can provide more opportunities for thousands of young people in and around Heswall.
Who are we?
We are a Sea Scout Group that is a local charity, managed and delivered by volunteers, providing skills for life, adventure, and unique opportunities to thousands of boys and girls aged 4 to 18 for over 50 years.
What are we doing?
Our young people will be taking on the Wirral Coastal Walk on Sunday 11 June 2023.
“THE 2023 WIRRAL COASTAL WALK WILL START AT THE FLORAL PAVILION, NEW BRIGHTON AND FINISH AT THE WIRRAL COUNTRY PARK, THURSTASTON, A DISTANCE OF 12.5 MILES.”
Community impact
We provide a stable and structured environment where young people learn about community values, teamwork, leadership, and citizenship.
We encourage young people to feel proud to be part of their community through local projects and events.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We want to provide Scouting for more young people by launching a second set of youth sections at the new Lighthouse Church here in Heswall.
How we’ll spend the money raised
Your donation will help our group provide the equipment, adult training, and supplies needed to make a new start for a second set of youth sections that will be based at the Lighthouse Church.
How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. If you can’t take part or sponsor a young person, please make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. If you want to run your own fundraiser to support us, maybe a sponsored activity or similar, use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
