Aim: HAG is setting up a Tree Hub to provide knowledge, resources and trees to our community and schools. Pergola and compost toilets needed

Heston Action Group  started as a group of local residents who wanted to improve civic pride in our community by cleaning and greening Hounslow and beyond. In 2018 we successfully started litter picking and soon we understood the need to have a green space in which to concentrate our efforts to reach out to the community from an environmental, social and social angle. Heston Community Garden was born in 2020 with the planting of 5 fruit trees donated by The Orchard Project and under the auspices of London Borough of Hounslow.

The community garden has several vegetable patches, including a mandala shaped raised bed, a pond under creation, a medicinal garden, a large polytunnel, a young food forest, and the educational West London Tree Hub. We are seeking funding to help complete the gazebo to enable meetings and training sessions and other gatherings as well as a compost toilet to keep people on site.1728484584_community_garden_1_resized.jpg
