The prize is a beautiful quilt that an all-age group of us have stitched together over the past two months. Inspired by the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old interested in sewing, we set out to make a patchwork quilt – first by individually cutting out squares and then sewing them together and hand-quilting the finished article. It measures ca 200 x 220cm, is padded with cosy wadding and backed with high quality 100% cotton. It took many hours of work and yet was a joy to create together. This very special quilt is full of love, laughs and happiness.
This draw is part of our ongoing programme of fundraising for Wapping Welcomes. This organisation, with representatives from the local community including our boat cooperative – Hermitage Community Moorings – supports Ukrainian refugees hosted locally.
