Aim

Help me to fund the production of my new E.P - "Here We Will Dance'.

I'm Ben Moss, a folk musician based in Walthamstow, and on April 23rd I'll be releasing my second solo record, an E.P titled "Here We Will Dance". I'm entirely self-funding the making and touring of the new record, and so I'm running this crowdfunder to help cover some of the costs as we near the finish line!

The new E.P. is a collection of songs written in response to the hopelessness that can often result when considering the current global political reality. The title is a lyric from the first song that was written for the record  - "Here Is The Rose", and is a reference to one of Aesop's fables, quoted by Marx to highlight the importance of actions over words while discussing the inevitability of uprising when material conditions drop to a requisite threshold. In considering the phrase - "here is the rose, here we will dance", it also became for me a clarion call to make the ongoing revolution a place of joy, of singing and of dancing. The E.P. then was envisioned as a manifesto of hope and optimism in an age of apathy and despair. I'm so proud of how the songs are sounding and so grateful for all the work from other people that has gone into the process so far, particularly the wonderful original artwork created by my good friend Matt Brassington.

The E.P. is all recorded and has been sent off to the printers, so you can be sure that you'll receive your rewards on time. The success of this campaign will simply help to ease some of the financial pressure and make sure that the final release is as good as it can be.

Thanks for taking the time to read about the project, and I hope you feel inspired to support the new record in some way.
