Aim
I'm running this prize draw to raise money to fund a team of disabled sailors to compete in the Hansa World Championships in Portugal.
The Prize
You could win one of these fantastic signed, mounted prints by Henry Fraser. Gabby Logan and Sara Cox are proud owners of work by this accomplished artist.
Henry Fraser, a bestselling author and mouth painter, has kindly donated two of his prints to the Hansa Class UK, in order to help raise funds to support a team of GB sailors with disabilities to attend the World Championships in Portimao, Portugal in October 2023.
He is passionate about helping others to deal with adversity, and supports causes like Hansa, which enables this group of motivated individuals to embrace life and do something extraordinary. His book, “The little big things”, inspires people to do just that. He draws on his own experience of becoming paralysed in 2009 and rediscovering his passion for art. This has led him to being featured on the Jonathon Ross show, and more recently on the Jeremy Vine show, promoting his recent exhibition at The Grove, Watford.
Lara Sturgis is a good friend of Henry’s, and that is the connection to the Hansa Class UK. Lara describes what Hansa racing does for her life, and the lives of many others.
“Sailability lets me get out of my wheelchair and enjoy the independence, and fresh air of being out in a sail boat. I’m passionate about racing, and the Hansa Class allows me to follow my dream, competing around the UK and across the world. We are all great friends and competitors, I’m so happy to be a part of it.”

The Cause
The Hansa Class UK is a small charity which facilitates the opportunities to race across the UK. This campaign is to support a GB Hansa Team to attend and to be competitive at the world championships in Portugal, October 2023. Funds are needed for coaching, safety support, and the transportation of the specialist equipment which is necessary to make sailing possible for people like Lara.
