Helpmate - An app that makes helping people easy!

Aim

Helpmate has been built on iOS and successfully launched, but needs to be developed on Android to build the user base and help more people!

The Pitch

Helpmate makes helping someone as easy as browsing social media, and is a place where you can ask for help and get real responses! It connects those of us with questions to those of us that have the knowledge and skills to help. The app is currently on the App Store (click here to download or search for 'Helpmate' in the App Store) and experience for yourself the community of people sharing knowledge and helping each other! We have a few hundred users but need to build the app on Android to expand the userbase.

How you can help

The app is available on the App Store (click here) so please download and try it out and help people by answering their questions, or ask your own questions to other knowledgable users, we have some pretty clever people on there! Any feedback or ideas for improvement is greatly appreciated. I have a facebook page (here) so please like that and share it with your network so more people can get involved.

The £1500 I'm raising will be spent on building the app on the Android platform. I only had enough funds to develop the app on iOS initially, but now that it is taking off, I'd love to be able to expand the app and the userbase. The app really is only as good as its users, and so the more users on it, the more the idea will work!

If I can get 1000 users on the app initially with people asking and answering questions then the momentum should be there for a good app experience resulting in word of mouth growth and a platform for building a case for investors.

Even if you don't want to contribute financially, pleae just download the app to get the word out there and share your knowledge!!

The Concept

We all know a lot about some things but want to know more about other things.  Helpmate is the platform that connects you to people that can answer your questions and also turns you into that pro that can answer other peoples questions.

Wouldn't it be great to be able to ask a marathon runner about advice for running marathons? Sure you can google it, but then you'll be left with hundreds of old blogs and forums and out dated information to read through. Imagine being able to ask a marathon runner straight?!

At the same time, you could be a marathon runner in your free time and know alot about the subject. You're sitting on the train into work and instead of scrolling through social media for the 12th time today, imagine being able to use that time to share your knowledge of marathon running and help other people out?!

Let's use our interconnected world to help each other! Let's share our own knowledge and experiences as I can guarantee there's someone out there that wishes they had the same knowledge we did, just like we wish we knew more about our new hobby or skill we're learning. Together we can help each other!
